MRP run Creates PR even Open PO item is there

I have a situation where MRP run is generating PRs for few materials although we have open PO with quantity more than the requirement for that particular material.

I have a material number setup as a HAWA

• MRP Type : PD ; Lot Sizing Procedure: EX; Safety Stock: 5
• I have open PO line with QTY scheduled to receive in the future
• The PO creation date is 26-Nov-2018 and Delivery Date is 25-Dec-2018
• Current inventory balance is zero
• I am executing MRP (MD03 – Run MRP Single-Item, Single-Level)
• MRP is proposing new PR with quantity 5 (equal to safety stock)

Configuration: Rescheduling Horizon: 100

The PO creation date is 26-Nov-2018 and Delivery Date is 25-Dec-2018

MRP Run Date: 20-DEc-2018

Hi Javed,

Have you checked your planning horizon? MRP "doesn't see" any planned receipts beyond this horizon.
