Exporting data from Marketing Docs

Hi All

Is there anyone who has done any automated exports from SBO to a flat file?

We need to export delivery doc info to a flat file (txt) then it will be imported to another system.

Hi Bongani,

another way would be to use SAP B1iSN.

With B1i you can create flat files (xml or csv) automatically when a new delivery note is created/updated in B1. If you like you can also create these files on time scheduled basis.

For the way back B1i can monitor a folder for incoming files to update the delivery notes in B1.

For further information you could look at [SAP Business One Integration Technology Forum|;.

Kind regards,

Hi All

Will it be a good idea to have separate tables that are duplicates of the original marketing docs (with some fields not all ) and have the 3rd party system pull info from this table via SQL back end processing ?

Hi Bongani Dlamini,

Since you need read only access to B1 table, there are no needs to duplicate system tables. Other application could use ODBC or other connection to read data directly from B1. That would be more simple and fast.

Thanks,

Gordon

Hi Dlamini.....

You need to get the support of externa application to achive your requirement which would collect the data directly from

back end of the desired table which would export the data. You shud take the technical help......

Hi Rahul

Please see scenario for this requirement below:-

The delivery note will be captured via DTW imports as they will be standard every week, then an export needs to be provided to the external application.

Once the file is imported they update the dates and quantities on the external application and then export the file to be imported in SBO to update the dates and quantities.

So if they get the data from the back end extracting only the date, card code, doc num and item code , then exporting a text file with date, card code, doc num, item code and quantity to be imported in SBO automatically via DTW scheduled job.

Is this scenario possible ?

Hi Rahul

Thanks for your reply, by technical help you are referring to SAP Support ?

Can this be achieved by SQL scripts and be set as a job ?
