blockquote HTML tag is not recognized by CR 2008

It appears that blockquote is not recognized in CR 2008. We have been using it for years and our CR 8.5 reports interpreted it and rendered a new, indented line. I'm about to recommend a huge database update and I am thinking that p and DD are a good replacement for blockquote. Is this a good choice or is there a better one?

BTW: This text editor interprets blockquote and p but not DD.
