Why Consumption indicator in movement type for 643 is set biut it is not for movement type 644?
Hi Anand,
The Consumption indicator updates the Material consumption (as planned consumption or Unplanned consumption) based on the indicator set. These are used in few reports for determining the consumption during a period. you may be able to see the Consumption against different period for a Material-plant in additional data-consumption tab of Material master. The date gets updated for every material movements based on the indicator set for the movement types. One more place where consumption values are used is in the Cycle counting procedures. There are many other reports and processes where it is used.
In my system for 643 it is R and for 644 nothing is maintained. I guess this is the standard setting.

Kathir
