Hi there,
We are trying to control OB52 access in ECC 6.0. Few relevant notes (135028,406552,78329) suggest that we can make it as a current setting so it can be changed by the business user. but they seem obsolete when basis tried to implement those (also, refer note 1433051).
If you can share your thoughts and let me know how can we make ob52 a current setting, it will be a great help.
Thanks,
sap fico
OB52 need not be made available to users. There are alternative transactions in SAP Easy Access to achieve the same functionality ready-to-use.
One such txn is S_ALR_87003642.
Try it, and if it suits your purpose ask your BASIS team to give users access to this txn. That should do it.
If you are in the mood to explore, another (a little more sophisticated) option is S_PEN_05000130.
Thanks
Gulshan

For me, I don't run S_ALR_ tcodes. OB52 only.
And I agree with Eli. In cases where this hasn't been delivered correctly I adjust it and it works fine. Note that it only works if the client is designated as a Production Client. In Dev or QA it may not work that way but that is a Basis setting.
Hi,
What do you mean by 'obsolete'? If you follow the instruction given in these notes, there is no problem of making OB52 available; we did it in several projects.

Eli

Hi,
note 1433051 is only correcting the impossibility of current setting of OB52 if you've activated EhP4 within ECC60.
But nevertheless it works as in SAPNET 214132 described, T-Code SOBJ mark the view V_T001B as "current setting" and transport the change to P-client.
best regards, Christian

hi
All these notes cannot be implemented with SNOTE by basis,
they have some manual steps
even 1433051 require manual changes using t code SOBJ
