Dear friends,
We are running MDM 5.5 SP6.
We have archived a D-repository, and unarchived it as a Q-repository. According to the reports, everything went fine in the process. However, when we try to load the new Q-repository nothing happens. The Console thinks for a second, and then nothing happens and the repository remains unloaded. We have tried to do another archive/unarchive, but the problem remains.
Has anyone encountered this problem? How can we resolve this?
Thank you.
Thomas
Hi,
Right click on the QA repository in Console and select Verify-->Check. Check the result of the check.
Repository will fail loading if there is any Fatal error. In case there is any fatal error in the repository (as shown by check result), Run Verify-->Repair on the respository. Once Repository is repaired, try to load the repository.
Please check it and revert with the result

Shiv

Hi,
Go to Repositry --> Logs in Console Hierarchy and kindly let us know the Repository Load Logs.
As we don't know the your repository logs, so i am not sure, but please check if the error logs are same like what mentioned in "Note 1432492 - Load aborted with error: Unique constraint violated"
Please revert with the repository load error logs.

Shiv
Hi Shiv,
The Log didn't tell me much. When I have tried to load the repository, the Log shows the following:
Audit: administrate repository
Load repository.
(and login/repository name)
This is the only entry in the Audit Log concerning the Q-repository. There is no error message or an indication of success/failure.
Or am I looking in the wrong Log-file?

Hi Thomas,
I faced the same problem back to few months when I was working on MDM 7.1 SP00. In my case, whenever I tried to load the repository it's being started to load but after sometime it was being stopped. Then I realized the size of my 'C:\' drive, where I installed MDM Server, it was having very low space that's why MDM server was not able to load that repository.
You may have the same issue, try to remove some data from your MDM Server installation drive, hope your problem will be resolved.
Thanks/ -Tarun

Hi Thomas,
I faced similar issue last year.
I would suggest for,
Unload D-repository >Verify Repair> Load with Update Indices.
Then, take Archive of D-repository and Unarchived it as Q-repository.
It helped us, so hope it will help you too.
Thanks and Regards,

Hi Thomas,
I would also suggest for following checks:
1. Repository does not load if port is already in use. Make sure that the port repository is loading on is free. For example If port is 2345 then the next two port numbers 2346, 2347 need also to be open and not in use by any other program. I mean give atleast 5 differnce in port between them (D and Q).
2. Check logs isn't there any Repository Load aborted with error (2214592531: Unique constraint violated). Refer SAP Note for more details, Note 1432492 - Load aborted with error: Unique constraint violated.
3. Also check the build of your MDM Server, it was bug for build less than 5.5.63.82 refer Sap Note 1276751 - Hotfix note for MDM 5.5 SP06 Patch03 Hotfix11 you will get information in this SAP Note about Fixed: Unable to load specific repository on AIX, if it so then I would suggest you to upgrade to higher build atleast 5.5.63.82 but better if go for the highest build 5.5.64.113 because most of the bugs get fixed in highest MDM build (5.5.64.113) Refer SAP Note 1389086 - MDM 5.5 SP06 Patch04 Hotfix27 Release Note.
Hope this helps....
