SAPUI5 Variant Management Not Working Properly

Hello. I am building an SAPUI5 application that I would like to use Variant Management to work with Filters and a Table. This isn't using any smart controls. The Variant Management is working properly before the filter search ( Go Button) is selected. After the Go Button is selected, the variant management saves a variant by placing it in the list, but the variant is lost after you refresh the application.
