Newly added unit for Infotype 40 - Only avilable for personal value list

Hello Friends,

I have added a new unit called u201Cvehicleu201D for Infotype 40 so that user can maintain the Vehicles taken on loan by employees

But by default unit available in system is u201Cpiecesu201D I have newly added u201CVehiclesu201D

When my tester logs in , He can only see the option in F4 help as u201Cpiecesu201D , but when he clicks on u201Cshow all valuesu201D he can see all two values.

u201Cits something related to u201Cpersonal value listu201D

I want that these two units will be seen and used by everyone who logged and u201Cpersonal value listu201D should not be constraint for it

How to achieve this?

Please let me know.

T538T verify the line item is added for your/user language.

T538C Should have entry of ZEINH and permitted to 0040 Infotype.

I don't think it has anything to do with Personal Settings. User may do SU53 to see if there are any hidden authorization issues.

Hi Jay,

I think the new unit created by is assigned to the personal list, after pressing F4 you can probably check the personal list option and delete the unit from personal list.

Yes, please delete the personal list entry and try again. Make sure the user is logging in with the same language as configured(in below case EN). I had following entries in the table and had no problems in viewing the details in F4.

thanks for the input,

i can see it on my desktop by my tester has problem

I have suggested them the same - deleting the personal value list.

one more question

"personal value list is user specific ? OR country grouping specific ? OR Logon Language specific ? becoz my end user is going to logon in english.

Try changing the Measuring unit of the Unit "Vehicle" to ST and see.

basically my tester want to display these two entris to all who logins

and need not to be user "personal value list dependent"

Do you know about any SAP note about such issue ? then please let me know.

As far as my knowledge goes, the values should be displayed to everyone. Try using a different login and check
