Dividend posting

Hi Experts,

May I know how to post/reverse dividend received without affecting GL account?

As in Purchase/Sale transaction we can post using TBB1_LC and reverse using TBB3 which may not post to General Ledger.

So, is there a way to do in dividend transaction?

Kindly advise.

Thanks.

Hi,

You can set the update type for dividend marked for "Not relevant for posting" in spro Acct Determination settings so that flows will be generated but not for GL. FWSO/FWZE can be used to post Dividend postings.

Meanwhile, can you please explain the business requirement where dividend is requied as not for positng. Generally dividend is a P&L item and accounted under revenues.

Hi,

Thanks for your updates.

Yes, I have set the update type to 'Relevant to Posting.' The reason I don;t want it to be posted to GL because I need to performed reversal on the dividend in cashflow for the closed period. I dont want the reversal posting to GL as we has declared our balances. The wrong dividend transaction was occured in 2009.

Can we perform reversal which wont update to General Ledger?

Thanks.

Hi,

You can do that like what Prasad has said. Mark the update type as not relevant for posting and post your flow in FWZE/FWSO. Then it will not post to GL. The flow will be posted in Treasury subledger. After that you can once again mark the update type as relavent for posting. But mind you, by this there will be a permanent inconsistency between FI and Treasury subledgers.
