Secure FTP for communication channel

Hi,

Can I use secure FTP(SFTP) in sender and reciever communication channel with port 22.......Because in File transfer protocol option I don't see any SFTP option, there are only two options avaiable FTP and NFS.

So if I select FTP and use the prt 22...will it have any affect or it will work fine.

Regrads,

Lokesh

SFTP is related to Seeburger (i suppose) and you have to exclusively buy the seeburger adapter.

You can however make use of FTPS in your file adapter.

SFTP is not supported by standard PI file adapter. You can use FTPS although.

For SFTP, either you need to write your own scripts of you may use third party adapters like 1 provided by Seeburger. SFTP is not related to Seeburger, it is just one of the solutions provided by Seeburger. There are other vendors too selling SFTP adapter.
