Hi Guys,

While performing system copy I got this error:

sapparam: sapargv( argc, argv) has not been called.

sapparam(1c): No Profile used.

sapparam: SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in Profile nor in Commandline

I am running system copy through administrator with option *use current domain" . I am able to execute R3load -testconnect on CI manually but the error above comes when I executed the same on DB server.

Please guide how to rectify it.

Mridul

Can you execute

R3load -testconnect

as <sid>adm on the database server?

Do you get any entries in the Windows event log?

Please correct me if I am wrong, I checkd out the event viewer and there were logs in System and Application field only, other field do not have any log, I checked it for <sid>adm.

Well - you get any error listed in them?

I didn'y get any error as such but there was a file info concerned with MSSQL

Event Type: Information

Event Source: MSSQL$WE6

Event Category: (2)

Event ID: 15281

Date: 3/22/2010

Time: 2:46:45 AM

User: DEV\SAPServiceWE6

Computer: WSS-SEA-AXDB1

Description:

SQL Server blocked access to procedure 'dbo.sp_get_sqlagent_properties' of component 'Agent XPs' because this component is turned off as part of the security configuration for this server. A system administrator can enable the use of 'Agent XPs' by using sp_configure. For more information about enabling 'Agent XPs', see "Surface Area Configuration" in SQL Server Books Online.

And the error that was there I don't think is of our concern:

Event Type: Error

Event Source: Report Server Windows Service (JIRA)

Event Category: Startup/Shutdown

Event ID: 117

Date: 3/22/2010

Time: 2:02:06 AM

User: N/A

Computer: WSS-SEA-AXDB1

Description:

The report server database is an invalid version.

I'm sorry, I can't help you further. I'd open an OSS call and let someone check directly on your system.

We don't know yet what the issue is. And keep in mind that the SAP system runs under user "SAPService<SID>", not under <sid>adm.

Is this Windows 2008?

Hi Makrus,

The issue is described completely in my first msg...

OS : Windows 2003 server 64 bit

I faced this error while performing system copy step on source system through sapinst( ECC6.0 SR2) using DB independent method on my DB server.

Note: The enviroment is distributed.

I will really appreciate if you can help.

Dear Friend

Is your issue resolved?

From which system are you running sapinst.
