Help with set up of SSO using Win AD?

I would like to set up SSO using WinAD. The users are already authenticating with AD, but they have type it in. I don't need anything fancy, just simple passing authentication. I attempted and failed. Any quick to do list to get this accomplished? Do I need additional software to do this?
