what is the use of dummy methods in workflow

Well, for example, I created one recently because I had to add a line with a customized text in the short workflow log that is displayed as a popup from GOS menu of a business object.

    |__ mandatory method

So that a line appears in the short log, you must bind the business object to wiobject_id task container element, and you indicate the WI title that you want to show in the short log.

When you create a task, you must indicate a method, but as you don't want to do anything, you must indicate a dummy method.
