Hi

Question to our BW experts..

I wanted to know more about FM - RSDU_INFOCUBE_INDEXES_CREA_ORA.

I have a issue in one of the cube. (For rest of the cubes index creation is a easy go)

To create index on that cube takes 25 to 30 minutes.

1) Tried RSRV for the Cube.. everything is Green,

2) Tried to check the Fact Vs Dim ratio, out thr i found majority of dim have 0 % only one had 3%.

TCOBBU001 /BIC/DTCOBBU0011 rows: 2.089 ratio: 0 %

TCOBBU001 /BIC/DTCOBBU0012 rows: 1.511 ratio: 0 %

TCOBBU001 /BIC/DTCOBBU0013 rows: 557 ratio: 0 %

TCOBBU001 /BIC/DTCOBBU0014 rows: 8.032.033 ratio: 3 %

TCOBBU001 /BIC/DTCOBBU0015 rows: 115 ratio: 0 %

TCOBBU001 /BIC/DTCOBBU0016 rows: 872 ratio: 0 %

TCOBBU001 /BIC/DTCOBBU0017 rows: 11 ratio: 0 %

TCOBBU001 /BIC/DTCOBBU0018 rows: 746.040 ratio: 0 %

TCOBBU001 /BIC/DTCOBBU0019 rows: 1 ratio: 0 %

TCOBBU001 /BIC/DTCOBBU001A rows: 11.503 ratio: 0 %

TCOBBU001 /BIC/DTCOBBU001D rows: 247 ratio: 0 %

TCOBBU001 /BIC/DTCOBBU001P rows: 173 ratio: 0 %

TCOBBU001 /BIC/DTCOBBU001T rows: 13 ratio: 0 %

TCOBBU001 /BIC/DTCOBBU001U rows: 5 ratio: 0 %

TCOBBU001 /BIC/ETCOBBU001 rows: 0 ratio: 0 %

TCOBBU001 /BIC/FTCOBBU001 rows: 251975.000 ratio: 100 %

Then someone suggested to create Index by FM - RSDU_INFOCUBE_INDEXES_CREA_ORA. And check the output,

but i didnu2019t find much of the information abt the same.

Fast response is appreciated

With Thanks and Regards

Dushyant

Hi,

At what stage are you trying to create the index. If this is for new loads to the cube and you expect quite a few records to be loaded you can try the following:

1. In process chain drop the index of the cube before loading the data.

2. Load data to the cube.

3. Create index.

If this does not help, activate a trace in ST05 and see which tables its hitting when you try building index manually.

N.B. Points are the way to say thanks.
