Name prefixes not getting updated

Hi All,

I have created a name prefix by going to SLD--> Name reservation . I have created one for software component.My track was created before i created the name prefix ..now if i go to my NWDS and import the track and try to create a new DC i dont see the new name prefix ..can i do some thing to get the new name prefix updated..

you have to update your cms first.

Moreover, you'll need to define a Development Component prefix, not for a Software Component.

sorry i did it for development component ..and i updated the CMS as well but i don't get the newly added name prefix.

have you tried to re-import or update your development configuration in your NWDS?

Did you check if your NWDI is using the SLD for namereservation at all?

If you access the namereservation in SLD there is a button for enabling/ disabling this sld as nameserver for nwdi. Changes are good that after the initial setup this is not set by default

Update CMS has nothing to do with name reservation as far as i know its just for syncing the software catalog of sld with CMS..
