IFbA - No support for Windows 7?

The SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe roadmap (March 2009) states that this technology is the foundation for SAP's forms strategy. The Product Availability Matrix (Netweaver 7.0, Feb 2010) states that there is no support for IFbA in IE8 on Windows 7, and that there is no support planned.

I am currently developing a Web Dynpro Java application using an interactive form, and I know that in a few months my customer will have to support IE8 on Win 7.

Does anybody know what is going on here? Is IFbA never going to be supported on Windows 7 clients? This seems pretty incredible to me. Or is it just a subset of functionality that is not supported (e.g. ACF rather than ZCI)?

I can't find any specific info on this question, other than 1 unanswered query and would appreciate some info.

Seeing that Adobe forms is the best thing that has ever happened to SAP printing, I seriously doubt that there will be no support for IE8 & Win 7 as that's where the world is going.

They probably meant to state that there is no current support for those instead of making a blanket statement implying future support will not be given.

    Hello

Do not use ACF, if you´re working on a new development for not obsolete platforms. Use only ZCI.

I don´t care about the support since that is not explicitely needed. You only need the applications to run on Win 7 and there is no ... magic within that would be broken by Win 7. IE 8 works ok (well... to be discussed somewhere else:))) Adobe Reader has even some obscure platforms support (like Linux etc.). LiveCycle is a Win app. WebDynpro uses common scripting that is present in zillions of other web pages, not a problem here. Conclusion: I am not worried at all, there will be any problem with Win 7. Hope that this has distracted your worries:))

    Have a nice day, Otto
