Number of Tcodes removal from Role

Hi,

We have one role in our system and that role is having almost 1000 Tcodes. Those Tcodes added to that role via Menu in different nodes. As per business requirement, we need to remove almost 400 Tcodes from that role.

Is there any simplification process which we can remove all those Tcodes from that role instead of manually searching the Tcode and removing from role?

Please check and advice.

I'm afraid not because removing the transaction codes themselves is only half (or less) of the job. You also need to adjust the authorizations accordingly. Best start work in a copy of the role so you still have the original for reference.

By the way, who needs 600 transaction codes to do his/her work? Are you sure the result of your work will leave you with something that fits the business requirements?

Please try not to touch that role. List out the TCodes (1000 or whatever) in that role and go for new design and segregate the Tcodes in some roles (depending on the process area and task to be performed by the users) and keep in mind not to give such a bunch of tcodes in only one role.

By the way.... did you ever get a chance to review the system by Auditors?

what role it is .. is it role that is to be aasigned to end user or devlopment team???

my advice please check with your internal auditior or business process lead or owner .

they will help you about the role as we cannot check the role.

coming to removing 400 tocdes from 1 role..

please search each and delete( has to be done 1 by 1)

as per me no other subtitution.
