Former Member

Hi,

in 7.11, the PI generated a regular WSDL as usual. But it has all these ws Policy, wsp:policy options.

question No 1: What is this Policy?

Where can I turn it off, since the consumer doesn't understand it. ?

thx

holger

I found it - it is in the Web Service Administrator (SOAMANAGER) - when you look at the generated URL, it has "policy" written in it. Just replace "ws_policy" with "standard" and -magic- the WSDL without the policy-tags comes up.

Hi Holger

I have the same issue with Webservice policy where I need to turn off the wsp:policy.

Can you please let me know how do I go to the Web Service Administrator and where and how can I find the generated URL? Can you please elaborate more on this(if possible step by step). And also is this a one time effort which would solve the issue in all my future WSDL generation or do I need to do this everytime I generate a new wsdl.

Thanks,

Bhargav

Hi,

I posted a blog about it :

[How to get rid of ws_policy in PI and SOA / WSDL description|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/18381] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken];

Great, to make my own blog to answer my very own question - it keeps the community happy!

Best wishes to everybody

When we create outbound or inbound interfaces in ESR we can assign the Policy type there.

Open Service Interface.
