Manual calculation on UDF, changes %discount per line

Former Member

Hi all,

I've added the %discount per line because the costumer may need this field in some operations.

Then I've done manual calculation on the line total and I've noticed that the %discount field presents the value '-5.100,00'.

If I delete it, the total value goes from 1560u20AC to 30u20AC.

What can this be?

Thank you.

Hi,

Check your Price after Discount. What value have you got?

Thanks,

Gordon

Hi Gordon,

The total before discount is 1300 and the price after discount is 1560.

How about quantity?

Quantity in this case is an UDF, because it is on service PO, so it does not affect prices, that's why I'm doing manual calculation.

You may check Unit Price to see what is the problem.

If you try this on your database, it will happen the same.

I have for example 10 on unit price. Nothing on the %discount. 10 on the Line Total.

Then on the line total I use the calculator to multiply 10 by 10. the result on that field is correct (100), but the %discount field automatically turns to -900.

This is what's happening.

That is the default calculation by B1:

(10 - 100)/10 * 100 = -900

B1 always assume your Unit Price is the previous one.
