Hi All,

We want to implement SSO to Fiori Launchpad (Hub system-Gateway) with ABAP system (R/3) credentials: when users login to their pc with their ABAP system (R/3)

user Id & password , Fiori Launchpad should open from browser without asking for credentials. It should automatically take ABAP system (R/3) credentials.

Is it possible to achieve this scenario?

If yes how to achieve this scenario .

Which technology can provide this? SSO or ....

Please give to me advice.

Thanks and Regards,

HI Sam

Just saw your message. Is there a reason user's can't be issued with their SAP Gateway password to login to Launchpad and then it's trusted RFC to R/3 backend?

Hi Colleen Hebbert,

Users want to use single Id and password for Gateway (hub) server and R/3 Back end.

They don't want to keep two password for login to Launchpad and R/3 Back end system.

If any input..pls give .

Hi Sam

SSO isn't a strength of mine but have you had a look at SAP Help documentation?

https://help.sap.com/viewer/d71464d9f3204ea8be1144d62acd9ac3/7.50/en-US/c711a753b9cfdb72e10000000a44...

At a high level/conceptual view point you'd have Authentication based on AD details (computer login); that would allow you to access the Fiori Launchpad (SSO into Hub System) and then you would establish system trust between hub and backend (trusted RFC connections). End users would not require a password in either SAP system. However, they would need to exist in both SAP systems with appropriate roles assigned.

Finally, here's a blog by yogesh.patel3 who steps through an example of SSO to Fiori with ADFS and SAML -

Hi Colleen,

Thanks for your input.

In our landscape there is no AD and java system server.

I have only SAP ABAP (R/3) and SAP hub gateway server.

My question is that ..Is it possible to use ABAP system User Id and password for sap fiori launchpad authentication(Login).

Please provide input.

Thanks and Regards,

SAM
