Material Code not allowed for change or delete in VA02

Dear Gurus,

We have requirenment in VA02 that Material code should not allow to change or delete.

Please help us to know that this allowed in standard or not.

Hi,

There is no such standard functionality. You can try transaction variant for your requirement.

Create a variant with that filed as "Read Only" and give access to that Z transaction. Remove VA02 from users.

As per standard If any subsequent documents (Delivery for Sales Order ) created then you can not able to change/Delete the material code.

you can check with your ABAPer to achieve your requirement.
