Hi Experts,

Firstly let me state that i am a mobile solutions developer but i am a rookie with SAP. I wish to develop a solution which will enable the users to perform certain SAP tasks,scenarios or transactions via their mobile phones.

The target SAP version is ECC 6.0.

From my initial research i understand that the way to do it would be to create a web application based on the Mobile Webdynpro framework and host it on the ECC Web application server.

Then the users can use the web application on their phone browsers.

I kindly request response on the following questions

1. Is this the right approach?

2. The users would be using mainly Nokia Series 60 phones.Is there a device platform dependency?

Requesting suggestions or pointers on the above situation
