Hi,

The opposit could be cofigured, i.e. posting on various funds and budget check only against one dummy fund, which is budgeted. What is the functional requirement behind your scenario?

Regards,

Eli

Hi Friend,

How could I do it in FM ? or your proposed solution applies in BCS?

Requeriment is: Users budgets by Fund, Fund Center and Commitment Item, but the availability control is only by Fund Center and Commitment Item.

Dear José Luis,

The BCS Availability Control (AVC) component is a flexible tool that you can customize to monitor and compare budget values and commitment/actual values. You can use independent availability control checks simultaneously.

I think the next link can be useful in order to reach the control you are looking for:

Please, let me know if you need further details on it.

Dear José Luis,

I assume you are working on a new installation, so BCS it's my recommendation for the functionality you require. With the correct customizing for BCS you may get your requirement. I think, help.sap.com has a very good information on how to implement BCS. Let me know if any question arises in the meanwhile.

Hi,

We have a similar situation like that but in a much smaller scale. The requirement was to have fund B hand over AVC control to fund A while A and B still have their own budget. What we did was through control objects derivation.

Say, you have funds A - Z and you pick one fund to represent this group, say it is A.

Spro > Public sector management > Funds management > BCS > AVC > Settings for AVC ledger > Define derivation stratege for control objects > double click the strategy you are cuttently using; create a new entry in that strategy; the type of the entry is 'Assignment'; click 'Constant' as the source and enter 'A' as the constant; for Target Field, the Origin is 'ACO_ADDRESS' and the Field is 'RFUND'; click the magnifying glass next to 'RFUND' and click 'Overwrite with New Value'; click 'Condition' tab and enter 'FM_ADDRESS' for Origin, 'FUND' for Name; the value is >= B and <= Z. Make sure this entry is the last one in the strategy. Run FMAVCREINIT to re-initialize AVC ledger.

There may be other ways to do this cover pool thing.

Regards,

Ming
