OB52 authorisation group (close&open posting periods only for partic users

Dear FI-CO Guru's

In ob52- I want open postin periods

1)Certain group of user will allow for posting only normal periods

and

2) Certain group of users will allow for posting normal and special periods

this is our business requirement kindly suggest how can I maintain

Hi Guru,

If only a limited set of users is to be able to post in a particular

posting period, proceed as follows:

Add the posting period authorization (authorization object

F_BKPF_BUP) to the authorizations of the selected users. Assign an

authorization group (e.g. '0001').

Enter the account type '+' for the posting period variant to which

the restriction is to apply. Enter the period(s) whose use is to be restricted in the first period, those which are available to all

users in the second period, and the authorization group (e.g.

'0001') in the last column.

For this you need to consult with Basis people authorization matrix.

Hi

To fulfil the requirement, you have to use both the posting periods (1 & 2) and maintain authorisation groups.

To explain in detail, if one user (Say USER1) want to post in period 12 and another user (say USER2) should be allowed to post in periods 12 & 13, then the OB52 will look like this:

From period1 Year To period Year From period2 Year To period 2 year Auth group

12 2009 13 2009 12 2009 12 2009 SPL

After you define this entry in OB52, attach the Auth group SPL only to USER2 under authorization object F_BKPF_BUP.

Hello Guruprasad,

I f you want that only your few Users will be allowed posting for the specified period , You should take the help of your ABAP team to create a program for opening & closing period for specific Users.
