Can you plz tell me what are schedule jobs or backround jobs in SAP and how to set them.

Hi,
Use transaction SE38 then select the program. Go to menu - Program Execute in background.
Click on Save button.
Goto SM37 to chk the result of the job.
Another possibility is By calling the executable program RSBDCSUB

The trsansaction sm36 allows you to create the background jobs- under job you can create a steps and also you can set start condtions for the job - as in daily or weekly you want the jobs to run.
background jobs- Basically sets the jobs to run at particular date and time once set - without user manually required to set them off.
to view- use can use sm37
