Transaction unknown error in Fiori

Hello

Whenever a tile is being clicked to view, an error occurs saying "Transaction is unknown"

Ex: If I click on ME51N transaction tile, it says "Transaction ME51N is unknown".

I used Mass maintenance tool for App descriptors in S4 system to create a catalog and added the required transactions using semantic object.

The same catalog is referenced in frontend Fiori Gateway system and added to a role. Please suggest. Thanks.

Regards,

Surya

    Hello Surya,

Can you give more details about the landscape involved?

    For example:

End user -> reverse proxy ---> Fiori FrontEnd
                             \----> ECC or S/4HANA backend

It could be that the "reverse proxy" (or the component on that spot in the landscape) is sending the request to the Fiori system instead of to the backend.

If that component is an SAP Web Dispatcher, the SAP KBA 2626799 (S-user required) can help.

    Regards,

    Isaías

have you maintained in /UI2/V_ALIASMAP - enter the client, system alias from target mapping and RFC connection. SM59 RFC connection will then be the rfc connection with _HTTP. E.g. Target mapping as S4FIN so you would have the Client + S4FIN + SID in the table and then you would have SID_HTTPS as your RFC in SM59.

semantic object can be tidied up via /UI2/SEMOBJ (customer semantic object transaction) but it won't be causing system alias issue.

    • Hello Colleen,

Thanks for your reply. The entries are maintained in /ui2/v_aliasmap table. We have maintained an entry in /ui2/semobj_sap for the semantic object but not in /ui2/semobj. Do we need to maintain in /ui2/semobj table for custom semantic objects?

      Surya

semantic object must be in one of those tables. SAP deliver ones and then the other table is for customs to maintain own.

What have you got configured for system in target mapping, the SM30 table and finally the SM59 RFC connection

    More visual

Target Mapping needs to have VALUE1

Table Mapping needs to have Client, VALUE1, VALUE2

SM59 RFC connection needs to be VALUE2_HTTPS (the system adds the _HTTP, _HTTPS, or **I think** _RFC for thick client) to the connection value in the SM30 table.

screen shots might help along with Gateway Error Log or backend error log details

Final/stupid question - have you double checked the transaction exists in the backend?

    Hello Surya,

Question Says transaction ME51N, but error shows transaction ME5A.

Can you check if the transaction names correctly maintained in launchpad Configurations?

and also create a new RFC in format SID.CLIENT, Extract the Catalogs in Front end and Try again.

Thanks for all your responses. I am using the wrong fiori link and hence the issue. It is working fine with the proper WD link.
