Oracle patch upgrade error 10.2.0.4

Hi experts,

When i'm doing the oracle patch upgrade from 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.4 im getting the following error'

"Exception String: Error in invoking target 'agent' of makefile '/oracle/<SID>/102_64/sysman/lib/ins_sysman.mk'. See '/oracle/oraInventory/logs/installActions2016-03-10_04-58-27PM.log' for details.

Exception Severity: 1"

I can complete the patch upgrade by giving continue but DB is not starting..

SAP version -Ecc6 DB-10g O.S-SuSE linux 10

Anybody help me..

Hi,

After upgrade the Oracle 10.2.0.4. you follow the below steps:

1) Start the Database with UPGRADE mode

2) Run the CATUPGRD.sql from @<ORACLE HOME>\RDBMS\ADMIN\catupgrd.sql

Once finished the above step. please shutdown and start the Database with normal mode. It should work.

perhaps you could read your error mesage and read it completely, you`ll find this very interesting bit:

See '/oracle/oraInventory/logs/installActions2016-03-10_04-58-27PM.log' for details.

Hi,

Try to start your DB Instance Manually and Post the Error Log which you are getting during Starting of DB Instance.

Hi,

Check sqlnet.log file along with this SAP Note 505630 Composite SAP Note ORA-12547 to get more info on possible reasons for such error.
