Depreciation area does not appear in the asset master data however it is set in the Asset class. If other asset is created in the same Asset class that depreciation area is automatically set in the asset master (it proofs that it is not a problem with Asset class).
I tried to set that deprecition area directly in the asset master data but all the fields are blocked for changing (is it possible to change that?).
What should I do as I need to post on that area ?
Thank you,
Jean
Either the asset was created when the depreciation area was not active or when the asset was being created the depreciation area was deactivated manually.

Try posting to that area only using ABZE. You might have to create a transaction type that is restricted to this area only. Another option would be to create a new asset with only this depreciation area active for the asset. Also run AJRW and see if this asset shows up. It could be that the values of this asset didnt get transferred to the new year.
