showing Long-term characteristics are still open

Hi QM expert,

i am using inspection type 03..after result recoding of all operation..i do UD..and save that...

but show Long-term characteristics are still open

status show LTIN STIC STUP

kindly suggest me what to do

Hi Aqueel,

In the control indicator you have set Long term characteristics. It means that if you want to carry out long term inspection. In the result recording you can still add more characteristics. If you do set long term charcteristics you cannot add any more characteristics for that Insp lot.

If your status is shwoing LTIN STIC STUP , it is correct.

yes i have maintained Long term characteristics in control key..but i want the system status should be UD..not LTIN STIC STUP

kindly suggest me when it will show UD status

Hi,

If you want that the system should show the status as UD, then you need you need carry out the long term inspection.

Go to result recording again for that LOT. In General tab , click at "create additonal characteristics(4rth icon), a pop up will come, select one one more MIC , press enter, copy that MIC, do the result recording, do the valaution. save it.

Now Go for UD, again select the UD code {even if it is there} and then save it. Status will change to UD.

REVERT BACK FOR FURTHER CLARIFICATION.

again i opened Result recording of same lot added two create additional MIC and given values and saved the i open UD then again save that...but showing same massage LTIN STIC STUP

kindly suggest me what to do?

Hi Pervez,

In UD screen, press f4 for UD Code filed, select "Accept" or "Reject"and press enter, you will see the change in the system status .

try this and come back.

I did all process what ever you told and what evere i can do....but not showing UD status....if i remove tick long term inspection..

then not showing....

kindly give me another clue

Hi,

my client require in process inspection inspection type 03 and and after GR inspection type 04.

i have ticked in material master Inspect with Material Specification, in 03.inspection type ..

.then in result recoding MIC not coming..then again i have change .i have ticked Inspection with Task List.then and un ticked Inspect with Material Specification then show all MIC at the time of result recoding .

what ever MIC i have maintained in routing operation

..now i do result recording with value and and accept all MIC value....

then i do UD...i select A ( accept UD) then save...but when open UD screen..show the massage Long-term characteristics are still open near the Insp. End Date

i save that

then show the status ...LTIN STIC STUP

again i opened result recoding and add new MIC and accept that and saved...

then i opened UD screen...and i selected again A (accept) and saved...

but agian showing same massage
