Upgrading R/3 4.6 c to ECC 6.0 EHP7

Hi Team,

We have a requirement to upgrade upgrading R/3 4.6 c to ECC 6.0 EHP7 (Source OS AIX6.1, DB Oracle 10.2.0.5, Target OS AIX 6.1, Oracle 11.2.0.4). Can you please help us , if there are any tools to upgrade other than SUM tool? could you please tell me if the SUM tool support for upgrade ? let me know if you need any information from me.

Hi venkatasai.

I think your upgrade may be three different phases since your SAP & db running lower version.

1. With current OS / DB you can upgrade the SAP R3 to ECC 6

2. Do the OS / DB upgrade AIX 7.1 with Oracle DB 11.2.

3. SAP upgrade from ECC 6 to ERP 6 EHP 7. Before that check the any partner systems version(like SAP BI /XI ...)

4. For SAP upgrade you have to use the SUM tool.

5 Check the SAP PAM about point number 1 & 3.
