Moving Average price update

Hi Experts,

I have an issue with Moving average price in Semi Finished Material, This semi finished material price control maintained as S Standard price with 13.5 but material master updated the Moving Average price as 4860. I don't know it was updated and now client is asking how it was arraived this value of 4860 ?. I have checked in the material master as anybody updated this, but no one updated manually in material master. but I couldn't find anything how this value was arraived ?

Expecting some light on this, how Moving Average price was updated in material master ?

Hi Srinivasa,

For the material with price control S, its moving average price will be calculated automatically when posting GR via MIGO from PO. But the moving average price is just a reference and doesn't matter with your material cost.

Hi David,

Thank you for your reply and Yes you are correct there is no impact on valuation of material but as per the controlling point of veiw need to identify the figure how the system determined that value ?
