Hi,

How do we check whether the Production message mapping and Development message mapping are same or different.

For abap, we do have version management to compare.

How do we do it in XI.

Hi,

open the message mapping - history from menu - and compare the date/time with dev

Hi Mike,

If we develop our mapping today and we may move the map to production after one or two days. So there is a mismatch there. Also we do changes in development and when we move these changes there is no new version in production history. What do you say?

Hi,

>>>If we develop our mapping today and we may move the map to production after one or two days. So there is a mismatch there.

why ? the history in PRD always shows the date time of activation (from dev) and not date/time of importing right ?

so how can we have the mismatch ?

Hi Mike,

Yeap you are correct. But only the last one is seen in production. Sorry for the confusion.

Sathish/Mike,

This is exactly the problem I have in checking the history of date and time. It always shows different time.

Moreover, we had few cache problems in PRD and need to manually activate the mappings.

Krish,

Go to prodcutin message mapping and then message mapping tab --> History --> then see the datetime. The corresponding datetiem in dev will be the same map.

Probably you have done few changes after moving to production. Then the maps will be different. So always see the datetime in prod and dev which will tell the identical maps.

Hi Krish,

I dont think you have an option which does this automatically for us. We need to check manually field by field.

Else if you can copy your mappings to a notepad and compare with a text comparision editors. You can copy your mappings as shown in this thread:

But this doesnot work in PI7.1.
