Multiple Production Orders

Hi All,

Let's say there are 5 production order's 101.102,103,104,105 for model X. The store has issued material for production order no. 101. Due to the availability of the raw material, we can complete any production order. Can there be a way to stop this? What i mean is, tthe production orders should be completed arithmetically as first 101 should be completed, then 102 and so on? If this is not possible, how can we keep a track so that we would know that which production order was completed against which issue??? please assist.

Thanks,

Joseph

Hi,

Created a query report to know about status of production orders and material issued against them.

Thanks,

Hi Joseph,

I am wondering why this order is so important to keep. In my opinion, any orders would be fine to be completed. The order numbers are only certain identifiers, after all.

Thanks,

Hi Gordon,

As per the requirement, we have mapped the process in such a way that the raw material is issued from the store against a production order number. Now if that raw material is used for completion of any other production order, the track is lost. So, i was wondering if there were a way to check that the production orders created should be completed in succesion and not randomly.

@ Istvan,

How do i start with the SP? Could you please suggest?

Thanks,

Joseph

On the production order summary tab you can click to the arrow at the Actual Component Cost field and you can see the material issues for this order.

To control the completing sequence of the orders may be achieved by coding in the SBO_SP_TransactionNotification stored procedure, but it requires a precise definition.
