message 00 06 167 W not working

Hi,

I did the following config :

spromm>purchasing----define attributes of system messge

00 06 167 W

But when I create a PO with a different company code than the one assigned to the plant , the PO gets saved without giving any warning message.

If the message is made error: 00 06 167 E it works and gives an error message and does not allow to save the PO.

The client requirement is for a warning message only.

Please advise.

Message 06167 will only work if purchase organization is assigned to a company code under: Enterprise Structure>Assignment>Materials Management>Assign purchasing organization to company code

If the purchase organization is assigned to one or more plants under: Enterprise Structure>Assignment>Materials Management>Assign purchasing organization to plant, message06167 is not going to work.

not each and every message can be made a warning.

you can add all messages technically to spromm>purchasing----define attributes of system messge

but if SAP looks into this customizing is defined in the programs. And program LMEXFU31 which issues message 06 167 does not check for any attribute changes, it is a hardcoded error message.
