Read Context Node/Attribute option in webdynpro code wizard not available

Hi Expets,

I am new to webdynpro Abap, i have developed a small application to set default values for two fields. i want to use code wizard to implement the code. When i click on code wizard icon in application tool bar, i have found lot of option like Method call in current controller, method call in used controller, Instantiate used component ... etc. But i didn't find the option Read Context Node/Attribute. Do i need to do any settings to get that. Kindly suggest. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi

Usin code wizard ( ctrl + f7 ) you should get 2 tabs in the dialog

a) Context

b) General

Check that you have switched to context tab to read, set values to context

There is no option available Read context Node/Attribute in the general tab all most there are around 7 options available except Read context Node/Attribute. Kindly suggest how to get that option.

Is there a Tab Named ' Context' available ?.

It will contain options to read from context

Thank you very much manas, It's there in context tab. But in my friend's system when i click on wizrd i got only one tab that is general tab and in that one of the option is Read Context Node/Attribute. But now in my system i have two tabs General and context. Both mine and my friend are having same ECC6.0, Can u please let me know is there any difference.

Hi,

Check the NW release,

I checked with NW 7.02 - 2 tabs were available.

with NW 7 - only 1 tab was available which you mentioned.

Additional tab (Context ) might have been added after NW release 7.0.

The separate tab was added in NetWeaver 7.0 Enhancement package 1 (ECC 6.0 Enhancement Package 4). This is the point where we expanded the context code wizards to include the new items of Set and Append as well as added the As Table Operation flag. In 7.0 you only have the Read option.

Hi,

I ahev the same problem . i have ecc6.0 ehp 3 .In code wizard ,General tab is not available in my laptop.

There is only one tab when i open code wizard in webdynpro.

In that SET opton radiobutton is not avalilable.

so plz help me .
