Question regarding Knowledge Warehouse in CRM 7.0

Hello,

we have an CRM 7.0 and using it for EIC. Until now we haven't use the Knowledge Management SDB.

We have now three possiblities, where I'm not sure what kind of advantage/disadvantage the solutions have.

a) we could use SDB with TREX.

b) we could use SDB with the standard search engine in our company which is Autonomy.

c) we could place the whole KW on our Microsoft Office SharePoint Server.

Has anyone make similiar descision in the past? Would be good to know advanatage/disadvantage?

For example, if we put KW outside of CRM we also would not have a search engine special for CRM. Is there anything which is then not be possible anymore to use in CRM? Example search over tickets?
