Customize Manual Test Case Execution Page in Test Suite

Hello,

I have been trying to customize the manual test execution page in Test Suite to add more business specific fields we needed.

For example UI for incident management or defect management via Test Suite can also be modified if we open in config mode=X but in case of manual test case execution - unable to do so.

Any inputs to explore the same will be very helpful.

Hi Alexandre,

Thank you and I understand. But, we are not inclined for several customization yet some flexibility around changing the field labels, make certain fields mandatory for structured & guided usage by end users and also their ease of usage.

Are you suggesting that a custom fiori app could be built on using focused build or the UI is editable in Focused Build.

Thank you. We are trying to add a new field in the UI to document an entity specific to business and not part of standard SolMan Test Suite.

Hence, looking for an option to modify the UI similar to what we do in case of ITSM / ChaRM or even by using config_mode=X for defects raised via test suite.

Hello,

Focused Build Test Suite comes with brand new screen for Tester Worklist which is more user friendly and all the actions related to manual testing like test results, test note, test data, defect can be found in single screen.

Packages are listed in the navigation area which when selected will list the test cases available within the package which when selected details of the test case is displayed.

There is Test Suite Dashboard also available with Focused Build Test Suite.

Hello,

I wouldn't recommend to customize the Test Suite application.

It is not (at all) as flexible as ChaRM/ITSM, and is still changing quite a lot with each new SP.

You may want to give a shot at Focused Build, which comes with new Test Suite Fiori Apps (eg. for Manual Execution).
