Unable to post using KE4SMM/KE4SFI

Hello CO Experts,

I was trying to post past MM/FI documents, after activating CO-PA using KE4SMM/KE4SFI, but no success. Program log says no Profitability segment assigned and '0' documents transferred to CO-PA. I checked my config viz., PA transfer structure, OKB9 settings and everything looks fine. Further, I'm able post to CO-PA, when posted a transaction manually. I searched for OSS notes, but did not find any relevant ones for my issue. There is no SAP message number for log, as it is Text element of SAP program.

Also, if I able to post say a FI document using KE4SFI to CO-PA, which is already posted to a Cost center, does the value type of Cost center posting becomes statistical ('11')?

Any help, greatly appreciated.

Hello,

1.check, if the FI-document has already been transfered into CO-PA

2a.if yes, you might first cancel the CO-PA posting via KE4S00..just enter the operating concern, the record type (B probably), and the doc.number

2b.if no, go to point 3.

3. KE4SFI...insert the company code, fiscal year of the original FI-posting, let the fields transaction and document origin blank, enter the doc.number, and try it without the Check of existing records (the checkbox on the bottom).

I thing the checkbox check of existing records checks, whether there is an CO-PA document with the same reference document number.

I want to post MM Physical inventory documents (mvmt type 701/702) & Production order variance settlement documents to CO-PA. These documents were created before the activation of CO-PA.

What I understand from bebugging the program 'KE4SMM' is actually looking for assignment to Proftiability segment and if not shows the log, 'No assignment to Profitability segment'.

Has anyone been successful in transferring past MM documents (created before activation of CO-PA) to CO-PA using KE4SMM?

Is this the correct program (KE4SMM) to transfer past MM documents to CO-PA?

Please share your view/inputs.

Hi,

In KE4S Select tab reverse and posting. then it will reverse already posted document and post with new COPA added characteristics.

But, as I said, I'm not talking about SD document transfer. In fact, I could successfully post to CO-PA using KE4S transaction. No issues, as far as KE4S is concerned.

I'm concerned about KE4SMM program.

Hi,

the documents you are trying to post to CO-PA, when they were created the first time, was there a CO-document created (cost center, internal order,...)?

If yes, you cannot post these documents to CO-PA because then it will be double posted in CO (the first time with eg cost center assignment, the second time with PA-object number).

T-Codes KE4S** only post to CO-PA if the original document has not created any other CO-document when posted the first time (otherwise it would be double posted in CO).

You are correct. One scenario is posted to Cost center earlier, whereas in another scenario, Cost element was not created earlier and so no Controlling document created. Only Profit center document (which is statistical and so issues). But, even for these documents (for those no Controlling document earlier), no CO-PA document posted using KE4SMM.

Any other inputs.
