Currently I am working on a comparision between SAP CP Neo and Multi-Cloud (aka Cloud foundry environment).
The following links were/are a great starting point for me:
For our application development on Neo we like the Document Service for a light-weight and unstructured persistence a lot.
Currently it seems that the Document Service is only available on Neo and not planned for the Multi Cloud (cloud foundry environment). Is that correct? If have searched in the above mentioned Service Portfolio link and in the SAP Roadmap presentations and found no outlook for the Document Service on Multi-Cloud.
Have I missed something? Or is there an alternative Document Service CMIS persistence available on Multi-Cloud?
Hi Michael,
i am also developing an application in the SAP Cloud Platform Neo Environment, and i am also using the Document Service.
A few days ago SAP released a guide for migrating applications from Neo to Cloud Foundry.
In the PDF at the end of the article there is also a very short chapter about the document service.
The recommended way from SAP is to use the "Object Store Service" https://help.sap.com/viewer/2ee77ef7ea4648f9ab2c54ee3aef0a29/Cloud/en-US/9f82aa99c6fb443495495a67b8e...
But I can not say more, I have not tried it myself yet.
Best regards
Christoph
