Security - Upgrading from BW 7.0 to 7.5

Hello all!

We are upgrading from BW 7.0 to BW 7.5.

I believe we have already updated our authorizations from old reporting authorizations of BW 3.x to new Analysis Authorizations of BW 7.0, because I see several BI Analysis Authorizations already in RSECADMIN.

As well, when I run the RSEC_MIGRATION program, I only see the 4 authorization objects below:

1. S_RS_ICUBE

2. S_RS_ODSO

3. S_RS_ISET

4. S_RS_MPRO

Is there anything else I should be doing before we upgrade from BW 7.0 to BW 7.5 for authorizations?

Also I saw a post say that we need to migrate our 7.0 Analysis Authorization objects to 7.5 by going to:

RSECADMIN -> Extras -> Migrations -> Migration: Release 7.0 -> Release 7.3

However I do not have this option under Extras. Does this mean it has already been done, or is this a security access issue on my user?

Hi Anthony,

To check if the migration has been done, check the transaction RSCUSTV23 (who should be set to "current procedure with AA").

The path to migrate to 730 AA will only be available after upgrade into a version upper than the 730.

Thanks for this response! I checked the transaction, and it does say "Current Procedure with AA", so this is a confirmation that we are using the new Analysis Authorizations.
