CRM 7.0 EHP3: Marketing -> Relationship Segmentation

Hello Experts,

I'm looking for detailed information on how to set up Marketing for "Relationship Segmentation".

I have already spent hours on SAP documentation, learning hub, blogs, but couldn't find a complete scenario on how to segment Accounts plus Contact Persons, based on relationships.

We are using SAP CRM 7.0 for Marketing ('Classic Segmentation') in a B2C environment since years. With Ehp3 SP 17, We need now to use it also for B2B: that means, find a way to 'filter' both Accounts and Contacts to, at the end, get a Target Group containing 'matching' relationship data (table BUT051)

I tried to use standard infoset CRM_MKTTG_BP_ORG in several ways (changing source details fields such as Partner, Category, Related, FM,...) , but it ends into strange 'counts'. As I was wondering about the code check for BP category in that infoset, I created an infoset copy without that check... But Segmentation count is now always equal to zero.

Could you please provide guidance? Thank you very much!

**** Here a simplified Segmentation scenario, as sample *****

1) Filter BPs on Role (Prospect or Sold-to);

2) Filter above remaining BPs on a Marketing Attribute value (attribute only available on Organizations);

3) Find back related Contact Persons for the above remaining Organizations;

4) Filter Contact Persons on a specific Marketing Attribute (attribute only available on Persons);

5) Create a Target group containing 'filtered' Organizations (role and Org Mkt Attribute value) AND 'filtered' related Contact Persons (Person Mkt Attribute value), with Contact Business Communication details (from Account/Contact relationships -> BUT051)

(for info, I already tried to split this scenario in 2 steps, using segmentation basis from step 1 in a new segmentation model 2. This ends into lost relationships from Step 1 -> all accounts are taken into consideration when generating a Campaign, instead of 'filtered' ones)
