Migrate Workbook FAVOURITES to Analysis for Excel

Hi Users,

Our client wants us to migrate all the BEx workbooks (Analyzer) within the users favourites folder to Analysis for MS Office. As developers how can we achieve this? We understand how to migrate a workbook from Analyzer to Analysis, what we dont know is how to migrate all the workbooks in the users favourite folder.

There is no way to migrate multiple workbooks at once. I understand SAP offer a workbook conversion service:

Depending on the scenario the simplest way might still be to instruct the users to migrate their workbooks one by one. When migrating a workbook the current user can either migrate from a role or from his own favorites.

If that is not an option, To get a list of the workbooks from the user favorites, have a look at table SMEN_BUFFC with report = RRMX .

You can add the workbooks to a role using PFCG and then convert them one by one from analysis (in the menu tab, go to the plus sign and choose Report, and then BW Report, and use the workbook ID). You can also add the workbook to your own favorites using the function BX_FAVOS_ADD_TRANSACTION and migrate them in analysis from there.
