I have a requirement to install content Server with MAXDB in a newly configured linux host *86_64

For this i have downloaded latest SWPM

And Apcahe Server will be installed by our Apache team .

I have to install only SAP Content Server along with MAXDB .

These are the folders found in the NEW Host .

bin cgroup etc lib lost+found media mnt opt root sbin srv tmp var boot dev home lib64 maxdb misc net proc sapdb selinux sys usr

I need your suggestion where to place the Installation Media in the above path.

Hello,

The installation media are only used during the installation of the Content Server. Once the installation is done, these media can be deleted from the server (I keep them in another location for future installations). Then, you place the installation media where you want, for instance in the tmp folder.

For more information about installation media, please read this guide: https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/002007974700000208802014E/SAPCServer650UNIXInst.pdf (starting from page 55).

Best regards, Nicolas

Dear K Karna Muhil,

/tmp would be a good choice.
Make sure, there's no cleanup job or something that deletes stuff in that folder.
