Portal Drive - Access is Denied -

Hi All experts,

I have installed Portal Drive in my PC and connect to one of the path in KM.

The connection is working fine. However, When I went in the folder, an error message would prompt to me (There was a problem saving Thumbs.db. Error 5, Access is denied.) After clicking on discard changes button I can see the folder level which look like normal explorer. Thereafter, I had a try to create, delete and modify the folder but It couldn't be done. An Access is denied message box would prompt. The folder I have full control access and I'm the content admin and content manager.

How to make the thing works? Anyone please help me.

Thanks a million

Regards,

Chia

Hi Koti Reddy,

Your replied is very helpful for me.

What shall I do is giving the access to anonymous user?

How about if I don't apply anonymous user to that particular folder any others way to achieve it?

Thanks & Regards,

Hi ,

check if you find any detailed logfile for missing authorization error to know the required access.

Hi Koti Reddy,

The folder permission has been given to anonymous user that's the reason the portal drive don't prompt me the logon screen.

After removing the anonymous user from the permission the portal drive would prompt me the logon screen. However, I still cannot access to the portal drive by keying in the user id and password which is same with enterprise portal. after 3 times attempting the portal drive prompt me a box to select either work offline or cancel access.

If I given the full control access to everyone then I'm able to edit the folder because without logon I'm using the anonymous user. That's is what I've aware.

Thanks & Regards,

Chia
