Hello Experts ,

I have a question ...all the time i try to open a selection at planning book the following message appears

Error converting a selection internally

Message no. /SAPAPO/MCPSH_SEL029

Some one can help me with this issue PLEASE ....

Hi,

I have used the function module /SAPAPO/MCPSH_SELECTION_SAVE to create selection ids. Now for selection id which has a navigational attribute as a selection criteria, i am getting the below error when I select it in the planning book.

Message no. /SAPAPO/MCPSH_SEL029

When I do Display Selection on the selection id, I find the following

APO Planning Version 000

Depot ABC

PROD_ACTIVE X

This is strange as the 1st two infoobjects APO Planning Version and Depot are characteristics and are displayed by their description while the 3rd infoobject PROD_ACTIVE is a navigational attribute and that is displayed by its name.

When I goto Object selection, I find that the selection criteria has only APO Planning Version = 000 and Depot = ABC. The navigational attribute PROD_ACTIVE = X is missing.

Can anybody throw some insights into this issue?

Hi,

The problem is resolved. Actually while executing the function module /SAPAPO/MCPSH_SELECTION_SAVE to create selection ids, the navigational attribute entered is wrong, It should have double underscore. e.g. PROD_ACTIVE should be PROD__ACTIVE.

Hi MauFilho,

This you import this selection id from a different planning book/planning area?

Check for the selection conditions in the selection id if it has charactersitics that are not present in this planning book/planning area you will generally get this error. You can check that in two ways

1) Advanced Planning and Optimization --> Demand Planning --> Environment --> Selection Organization --> /SAPAPO/MC77 - Maintain Selection Assignments --> Choose your plng book --> Select selection id on the right --> Right click --> Display Selections.

2) From the interactive demand planning --> Click selection profile --> Select selection id on the right --> Right click --> Display Selections.

Hello Mani ...the problem was an note that the ABAP consultant had applied and it was generating the error message ....the problem now are fixed....
