Hi all,
I'm having trouble printing amounts in vietnamese words with sapscript.
The FM spell_amount works fine. But for some reason, sapscript can't printout some of the special characters correctly. Any explanation/suggestion on this?
Thanks
Hi,
Problem is not with the code. But with the printer you are using. All printers are not capable of printing all the characters.
So use appropriate vietnam printer for viewing the output. BASIS team/functional can help you in identifying the right printer., You can check F4 help for the printer as well to know the correct printer.
Thanks,
Vinod.

if it works in abap list but not in print preview, it must be the font used, which does not contain the Vietnamese characters (the list is probably automatically written with COURIER or something close). Try with COURIER or a Vietnamese font (installed on your comupter of course), and it would work.
What I said here applies to the screen, not to the printer (see Vinod answer).
Thank you all for the replies.
Anyway I've got my character set in viatnamese that's why i think it's displaying the text correctly in a list.
However, i don't think that same font is available in my sapscript. I don't even know the exact name of the font, it just says vietnamese in the character set. So anyone knows how i can add that font up to sapscript?
Regards,
Chris
Can you try creating a new paragraph / character format with a proper font type and assign that format to the text you are printing.
May be you can try writing those letters in the MSWORD and find the compatible font for that, check the similar font is available in SAP and use it.
