How can I see if my SAP S/4 is a 1709 or a 1809 release?

Hi there,

I wanted to check the System Release and had a look at

  1. System
  2. Status
  3. SAP System Data

There I see a huge number of SW components installed like:

  • SAP_BASIS 752 0001
  • SAP_ABA 75C 0001
  • SAP_GWFND 752 0001
  • SAP_UI 752 0002
  • ST-PI 740 0007
  • SAP_BW 752 0001
  • UIBAS001 300 0001
  • MDG_FND 802 0001
  • S4FND 102 0001
  • MDG_APPL 802 0001
  • MDG_UX 802 0001
  • S4CORE 102 0001

Question: Which line provides the info if the System is a S/4 HANA 1709 or 1809?

Thanks,

Andrzej

Hi Andrzej,

You're almost there, if you switch to the tab next to "Installed software component versions" ( => "Installed product versions") you'll get the information you need.

S4CORE 102 means 1709
S4CORE 103 means 1809
S4CORE 104 means 1909

When you look in the SAP Notes this is how you see if it's applicable.

This screen does not appear any more in 1909 release..Any idea how to search on 1909?

Hi Suryakant,

With 1909 there is a new Auth object S_SYS_INFO to display this informations.

See note https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2658772

Hello Prasad - I dont see option to see system details and the installed versions. Possible to share the part or screenshots. The screenshot shared earlier it not visible.

You can use FM: OCS_UI_DISPLAY_PATCH_LEVEL in SE37.

Because of some view configuration or some missing authorazation, "System --> Status" screen may seen like above.

In this case you can use this FM.

I agree with Suryakant. When I click on the System -> Status. It navigates me to Screen and program name of the Transaction I am on. Any ideas?? Has SAP moved this screen to a new Tcode?
