Optimizer failure

Dear Optimizer experts,

While running the Linear Optimizer, the optimizer got failed saying that "error while reading the data", and after seeing the trace file we have seen the following error

RFC_RC (RFC_EXCEPTION) Exception raised

exception=ERROR

What was it that resolved your problem we're encountering the same error?

Looking in our message Log we get a message

"Infeasible problem"

"The error that occurred causes optimization to terminate"

Hi,

Go to T-code SM59 > TCP/IP connections. Select SNP Optimizer server. and Click on Connect test.

If it fails, contact your BASIS team to rectify it.

BASIS team will be able to solve this problem.

Hi Sumit,

Please check the "Message Log" in Optimizer log. I assume that, along with the error "error while reading the data", it has also provided some additional informations related to the error.

Hi Sumit

1) Check whether the livecache performance is ok

2) Check whether is there any lock in planning book

or lock in users

3) Check is there any struck queues or sysfails

4) Check application logs whether any error due to

missing master data

5) Check whether the items under optimisation are

maintained fully
