DMS storage type change

I store the DMS file via vault ftp server without kpro now. I want to change to store these file via sap system database with Kpro, for example, content repository: DMS_C1. Can anybody give me advice about it, such as performance, database volume? some detail infomation as below:

increment : < 100MB per day

file type : rar,iso,pdf,jpg...

Can you give me the advantages and disadvantages of storage type between the sap system database and the http content server via SAPDB?

Hi Chao,

As per my experience and best practice, I will suggest you to use Kpro for your requirement.

ftp file server or external DMS server are used when volume is large(i.e. in TB)

The difference is while serching a document kpro will respond quickly than external system.

I am very concerned this will affect the normal operation of the system performance when tranfering to KPRO.

The ftp file server or external DMS server is better than kpro when document volume is large?

my max file about 200MB, total volume about 100GB

Concurrent users about 50
