sub con problem

sir, in sub con if component is define should i create the component matrial as itm Cat(L)when creating po for this item? and both the item should i procure from samd vendor?. when issue the main matrial should i issue the component item as well ? pls clear me

in sub con scenario, their will be parent item,which you will receive after GRN is done and child item,which you are supplying to subcon vendor for processing ,so that he supplies to you after processing the parent item,for example item A is PARENT item,and item B is CHILD item,you are supplying CHILD item B to subcon vendor and after processing ,the sub con vendor will provide you with ITEM A(PARENT ITEM)

sir, so i don't need to issue parent item to sub con vendor? and when i create po against the child item it should be cat(L)?

you have to create PO for PARENT ITEM,with item category L,if BOM is maintained than ,during creation of SUB CON PO ,BOM will get exploded and child item will be assigned,and subsequently you have to issue child item to SUB CON vendor,both CHILD and PARENT item will appear in the same po created for PARENT ITEM,with item category L,if BOM is not maintained you can assign it manually also in SUB CON PO

Parent Item material should be item category L.
